AFTER SCHOOL CLASSES

Ages 10+ wheel throwing

In this 5 week session, we will focus on the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel. We will make functional ware such as cups , bowls, planters… using additive (handles) and substrative sculpture, as well as exploring surface design and fun glazing techniques!

Students get to choose the theme of their projects! Animals, Nature…whatever they are interested in :) Instructors are there to teach wheel skills and techniques, and assist in bringing each kids’ unique clay vision to life.

Students will make between 4-6 fired creations!

Aprons provided, but send kids in clothes/shoes that can get messy.
