This is a Hand-building class! Great for all experience levels. In this class, students will learn and use a variety of handbuilding techniques including: pinch pots, coils, and slab construction. Great for fine motor skill development, as well as understanding process in art making. Students will explore additive and subtractive sculpture, and focus on texture, functionality, and form. All while playing with clay and getting dirty!

Camp Themes:
October - Spooky and Sweet - In this 2 day mini camp, students will make a variety of Fall/Halloween inspired projects. Projects include: Halloween Themed Tic Tac Toe Boards and A Spooky or Sweet Spirit Pal!
November - Mushies and Leaves- In this 3 day mini camp, students will make a variety of pieces focused on the changing of the season. Projects include : Leaf Impression Ornaments (done in time to actually hang on your Christmas Tree!) and a hilarious and cute Fall Mushroom Family! Students will construct on Days 1 & 2 and glaze on the last day!
December Session 1 - Holiday Gnomes - In this 2 day mini camp, students will make their very own Holiday Gnomes! These are so cute and can be in the theme of a Snowperson, Santa, The Grinch. They are truly one of our favorite projects of the year! Students will construct their projects on Day 1 and glaze on Day 2!
December Session 2 - In this 2 day mini camp, students will make their very own Mini Penguin Pals and a Winter Themed Tic Tac Toe Board (think Hot Coco with Marshmellow pieces!) - perfect for those snowy days after the sledding hill! Students will construct their projects on Day 1 and glaze on Day 2!
* ALL STUDENT WORK WILL BE FIRED AND RETURNED 2 WEEKS AFTER THE LAST DAY OF THEIR CLASS. PARENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL.
