10 -14 yrs | 1-4pm | Altered Wheel
This is a Wheel Throwing and Hand-building class! Great for all experience levels. In this class, students will work on the potter’s wheels to learn the basics of throwing; centering, opening, and pulling walls to make cylinders for cups or bowls. They will then use a variety of hand-building techniques to alter or add sculptural elements to those wheel thrown pieces. The last class is a glaze day! The themes are meant as inspiration to this age group. They are allowed and encouraged to follow their own artistic visions!

October (Fall Break) Mini Camp - Oct. 12 + 13th - 2 days
November Mini Camp - Nov. 23 - 25 - 3 days
December Mini Camp - Dec. 21 - 23 - 3 days

Camp Themes:
October - Sweet & Spooky - In this 2 day mini camp, students will make a variety of Fall/Halloween inspired projects on the wheel. Projects themes may include: Ghost/Monster sculptures and their very own Halloween candy bowls!
November - Fall Trees, Leaves, and Mushies! - In this 3 day mini camp, students will make a variety of pieces on the wheel. Projects themes may include : Fall Leaf Bowls, autumn themed colors and patterns, mini mushrooms, and any other fall themes motif the artists want to explore!
December Session 1- Handmade Holidays - In these 2 day mini camps, students will make a variety of Winter/Holiday inspired projects on the wheel. Projects themes may include : winter animals, winter trees and scenes, and snowy Colorado mountains!
December Session 2 - Winter Wonderland In this 2 day mini camp, students will make a variety of Winter inspired projects on the wheel. Projects themes may include : winter animals, winter trees and scenes, and snowy Colorado mountains!
* ALL STUDENT WORK WILL BE FIRED AND RETURNED 2 WEEKS AFTER THE LAST DAY OF THEIR CLASS. PARENTS WILL BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL.
