hybrid handbuilding + wheel

In this new 5 session hybrid class, you will learn the basic techniques of throwing pots on the wheel annnnd hand-building! We will make between 3-5 pieces on the wheels, learning the basics of centering and shaping our pots. Next, we will dip our toes in the pond of handbuilding - exploring the three handbuilding techniques of pinch pots, coils, and slabs. We will also explore a variety of surface design techniques, underglaze transfers, and glazing!
*IF you’ve taken wheel/handbuilding before, we can scaffold this class and accommodate a variety of levels.
New Perk! Students enrolled in any 5/6 week session, will recieive 3 free hours of Open Studio time! This time can be used to practice skills from class independently or for glazing, cause it allllllwaaays takes longer than you think it’s going to :)

Class 3: - Handbuilding attachments to our wheel pieces
Class 4: Handbuilding + Surface Design
Class 5: Surface Design + Glazing
