Summer is almost here and along with it some of of our favorite projects in the studio !
This year, we are celebrating PRIDE with the coolest Nerikomi bowls, giving our gardens a cute glow up with a custom Gnome bodyguard/fairy Gnome-mother to watch over your plants, and finishing out the month with the cutest ceramic goblets for all those summer spritzes!
So, grab a cold beverage from anywhere in the Stanley, ditch the sunscreen at home, and come play with some clay!

SATURDAY JUNE 7th 530-730pm
In this one day workshop, you will explore the technique of Nerikomi Pottery.
A Japanese pottery technique, where different colored clays are combined to create a marbled or patterned effect. The process involves wedging together blocks of colored clay, creating layered designs that are then formed into pottery!
You will be given a menu of bright colors to choose from to in-lay your own colorful pattern into beautiful hand-built bowls. This class will use draping molds and we will apply a shiny clear glaze after firing!
Bowls will be functional, and dishwasher/food safe. BUT! We always recommend handwashing precious handmade items.

*20% of all class fees will be donated to Lambda Literary.

Watch out ceramic gnomes from Michael’s, these pals are next level.
In this one day workshop, you will create your very own, “Gnomie” friend for your garden! Over the last 2.5 years, this has been one of our most popular workshops. From puppy gnomes, to a memorable Leslie “Knope” Knome, to a “Wednesday Adams” gnome complete with an umbrella, you can customize and bring your gnomes to life!
This is a handbuilding workshop with options for surface design including : underglaze transfers, minimal glazing, and texture/additive sculpture techniques.
We will apply a shiny clear glaze after firing.

CerAMIC GOBLETS

Thursday JUNE 26th 530-8
In this one day workshop, you will create your very own goblet or if you want to feel like true royalty, let’s call it what it is…a chalice.
Perfect for backyard bbq’s and an Aperol Spritz on the stoop (if you have one of those).
Yours will be the talk of every “Summer Friday” Happy Hour!
This is a handbuilding workshop with options for surface design including : underglaze transfers, minimal glazing, and texture/additive sculpture techniques.
We will apply a shiny clear glaze after firing.
